Rapid Stress Buster
The Rapid Stress Buster is available for you to download for your use. An experiment in rapid destressing technique, this is a short (5 minute) mp3 file (4.58 MB download). Ideal for non or ex-smokers who find it unfair that their smoking colleages get extra breaks and the odd five minutes away from work. You can now tell your manager that you are taking your destressing break and spend 5 minutes with your mp3 player. And expect to come back to your work far more energised than your smoking colleagues:-)
NLP Alignment Exercise
The NLP Alignment Exercise uses the concept of neuro-logical levels (different levels of experience) to bring all aspects of self into congruence. It is a great adjunct to goal setting when used to bring all aspects of self to focus on achievement of your goals. I originally recorded this as a tool for a client, but find it incredibly useful myself.
The Betty Erickson Induction
Betty Erickson developed a powerful and elegant self-hypnotic induction that involved cycling through the different sensory modes, moving awareness from one to another. This induction is renowned for its efficacy and the speed with which it allows you to enter deep states of relaxation. This zip file download includes two tracks. The first is an introduction with instructions. The second consists of prompts for the induction itself, followed by a very short visualisation to round the session off. This is intended as a learning tool for self hypnosis and not as a trance session in its own right.
Although this induction is not included in "A Short Course in Self Hypnosis", it complements that programme very well.
Audio Bilateral Stimulator
The Audio Bilateral Stimulator is a simple application for running on Windows PC that triggers a pulse in each ear alternately at a predetermined frequency.
It was originally developed as an adjunct to EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) in my hynotherapy practice, but it quickly became clear that it has a number of uses, including trance induction (the alternate pulses in the ears rapidly induce an altered state of consciousness) and facilitating belief change processes.
It has two presets which can be set up to seperate frequencies and durations. It is offered here for experimental purposes, not as a therapeutic tool.
